The Iranian Youth Cinema Society reported that ‘Nazpari’ will be screened at the third edition of the Norwalk Film Festival.
‘Nazpari’, written and directed by Mohammad-Reza Mohammadi, is about an Afghan girl who is trying to prevent her forced marriage.
The film’s cast list includes Nazanin Asgari, Fatemeh Shirazi, Seyyed-Hossein Hosseini, and Latifa Mousavi-Nejad.
‘Nazpari’ won the Best International Short Film at the Stuff MX Film Festival in Mexico.
The Norwalk Film Festival was founded by “a grassroots community of volunteers, comprised of filmmakers, cultural leaders, and movie lovers living and working in Norwalk”, website of the event reads.
The goal of the NFF committee is to “bring together local communities and stimulate ongoing dialogues generated by the power of cinema”.
The upcoming edition of the Norwalk Film Festival will take place on January 20-23.
